Officer Candidates School Physical Fitness Standards

Updated: Jul 12, 2023

Many applicants and candidates ask about the physical standards within the Marine Corps and OCS. Your goal should be be to exceed the minimum standards but in order to be even considered on the board you will need to meet the below standards.

The minimum standards to be considered for OCS are listed on the application process page toward the bottom of the page. Note: You likely will not get selected if you're only meeting the minimums.

The scoring method for the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is located here: https://www.fitness.marines.mil/PFT-CFT_Standards17/
